Music Series: Intercultural Music Initiative

Join us for an intimate performance of classical music featuring the top-notch musicians of the Intercultural Music Initiative performing music for flute, violin, cello, and piano. The concert will include duets and trios by Egyptian composer Gamal Abdel-Rahim, Afro-American composers Undine Smith Moore and Fred Onovwerosuoke, alongside selections from Bizet’s beloved opera, Carmen, and other gems.

The Intercultural Music Initiative has had its roots in Saint Louis since 1994. Responding to the growing call for diverse classical music programming, their enticing IMI Chamber Concert Series integrates new and unfamiliar musical works into the existing performance repertoire and features a growing community of interculturally minded artists and educators from around the globe.
